UK Parliamentary General Election
The UK Parliamentary General Election will be held on Thursday 12 December 2019. This will elect a Member of Parliament to represent the Penrith and the Border Constituency.
To vote in the election you must be registered. The Penrith and the Border constituency covers 3 local authorities, Eden, Allerdale and rural Carlisle (not Carlisle city). It is important that you register to take part in this election.

If you vote in person the information about the polling station you should attend will be on the polling card. Please be aware that for this election your polling station may have changed. Please check your polling card carefully.

The deadline for registering to vote for this election has now passed.
The deadline to apply for a new, or to amend an existing postal vote, has now passed.
The deadline to apply for a proxy vote has now passed.
The appropriate local authority is either Eden District Council, Carlisle City Council, or Allerdale Borough Council. If you are unsure, please check your Council Tax bill.
