Parks, gardens and play areas
Penrith Castle Park has the ruins of Penrith castle, tennis courts, putting green, crazy golf, and bowling green. The playground opens end of January.
Allotments in Eden are located in Penrith, Kirkby Stephen, Kirkoswald, Morland, Skelton and Winskill. The allotments are run by various associations.
We look after 39 children's play areas in Eden district. There are play areas that the parish or community groups look after too.

In Portland Place, Penrith in 1938 to mark George VI coronation the coronation garden was created, it was restored with new structures and landscaping in 2012.
We routinely cut grassed areas adjoining housing estates and parks and open spaces. We also maintain trees and prune hedges, shrubs and rose beds.
